What is this?

An education system is a socially constructed set of institutions and practices designed to promote and shape individual and collective learning. It can disseminate cultural values and ideas, provide a framework for understanding the world, and equip young people with the skills, knowledge and attributes necessary to act in the world. Education systems also develop and maintain systems of assessment, certification and accreditation that demonstrate individuals’ knowledge accumulation and skills acquisition. Ultimately, a good education system produces critical, creative and reflective minds capable of understanding and addressing the systemic challenges facing humanity.
